What ingredients should a face cream contain to determine a beautiful complexion?
It has always been a dilemma for me choosing the best product to fit my complexion characteristics. I don’t pretend that the cream should do miracles from the first use but in time its effects should be seen: a bright, hydrated complexion should be the qualities most searched. First of all assure yourself that no matter the cream, it contains the following ingredients:
No matter if you use the cream in winter or summer, it has to contain the protective factor to B and A UV. It varies between 5 and 50 so you have to choose it depending on the type of complexion. The fair the complexion is the bigger should be the protective factor. Even it the effects aren’t obvious at the moment, it will be seen in time. A long exposure to sun ages the complexion and augments the risk of skin cancer.
Among the ingredients should also be antioxidants, necessary for the skin to look younger, to regenerate. Vitamin C for example is a strong antioxidant capable to protect the skin against pollution, stress and metabolism negative effects. Q10 also helps cells regenerate, stimulating collagen production magical substance responsible for skin elasticity. A vitamin is another important ingredient for face creams, helping the skin regenerate.
Shea butter which has anti-inflammatory properties helps reducing scars and is an essential ingredient for dried skin. It contains triglycerides and linoleic acid which softens skin. It can be used by itself thanks to A, E and F vitamins contained. If you have mix or oily skin then use products based on water.
Avoid creams containing mineral oil and its derivate. Its and ingredient obtained from petroleum which can lead to premature aging of the skin acting as a grain. As skin can’t cut out toxins you may get an acne eruption on your face.
Don’t judge a cream by its smell. If it doesn’t have any smell the better. Perfume shouldn’t exist in a cream who’s purpose it to hydrate and refresh our complexion, not perfume it. More than that, the perfume from creams are the main cause for dermatitis.
