2013 Fashion Week: Celebrities Rock Dance Shoes
One of the highest profile fashion events in the world will be taking place in London from September 14 to September 18, 2012. New York Fashion Week spring/summer 2013 gave a little preview of what’s hot featuring top fashion designer collections and celebrities spotted in stunning dance shoes, elegant evening dresses and eye-catching jewellery.
Celebrities at New York Fashion Week
Fashion magazines such as Glamour were impressed by a number of celebrity looks at the New York event. From Kristen Wiig’s all-white outfit to Rose Byrne’s beautiful flower theme print dress, there were a lot of unforgettable outfits to spot at the shows.
Rachel Zoe was wearing an embellished red dress teamed with a pair of sky-high heels, while Olivia Palermo known for her exquisite taste opted for incredibly feminine animal print ballet pumps. Comfortable flats were also the choice of Alexa Chung, Hailee Steinfeld, Christina Ricci and other style-savvy ladies.
The highlights of New York Fashion Week included attention-grabbing prints by Vera Wang, bright pink gowns by Oscar De La Renta, ethnic outfits by Tory Burch and sparkly dresses by Jenny Packham, the Duchess of Cambridge’s favourite designer.
London Fashion Week, the event that puts Britain on the global fashion map, attracts visitors from more than 25 countries including U.S.A., Italy, France, Russia, China, etc. It brings about £20 million to the London economy each season and generates approximately £100 million worth of orders.
What to expect at LFW
In 2012, women’s wear shows and exhibitions will take place at Somerset House in London, where The Estethica exhibition only will showcase 15 designers’ spring/summer 2013 collections. There will also be presented international brands including Carla Fernandez, Honest By, Max Jenny, White Tent, etc.
There are 60 catwalk shows on the official LFW schedule and 45 off-schedule shows. The Exhibition will showcase over 120 ready-to-wear collections including accessories. Visitors will also have access to a lot more designers through multi-brand and individual showrooms, presentations, live streamed shows and fashion films.
